TESTOO
More than being contemplated, the transformed material is made to be touched, sniffed, licked, eaten, sucked...
These products are the result of connections between substances that in principle have no relation to the finalized object as, for example, the casting of a honeycomb (a form that has often served as reference to modern architecture) with a very flexible product placed on the ground looks almost like a massage tool or a bathroom carpet...
The Prototypes of Objects in Function (P.O.F.) are thus objects that look like everyday objects but possess a redefined function. At the start, these objects are the end result of an artistic approach. These are works of art which by my constant desire to materially reimmerse the spectator into the activity, become utilitarian products. This attitude allows a through investigation to take place because every time a demanding connection is defined and formalized in a POF it immediately generates new connections as its functions are not reduced to a contemplative activity.
TESTOO is the site of a prototype-exhibition to be utilized where some of the objects that should be tested will be available to the public to be used under the best possible conditions. Therefore, the exhibition also becomes a TESTOO product although defined as an active place where all senses are exacerbated: halfway between amusement park, store and art site. This edition of TESTOO should define future projects which will be readjusted in relation to new products or potential conditions of use.
